Huck is a very interesting character in this book. Why does his mind think of things that grown ups would do like going into other boats and checking things out? He thinks of dressing up as a girl and going to a persons house and stuff like that. He helps Jim out a lot and tells him what to do like he is older than him and his boss. Is it because he has been around older people most of his life so he thinks like them? Is it just his imagination going out that far and helping him think of these things to do? I think that because of him growing up around all older people and how far his imagination stretches out that these tell him what he needs to do to survive and not get caught out here.
A take away that I got from these chapters is to not be worried and overwhelmed when something serious is about to happen. When this comes into play it can make matters a lot worse. When Huck found out that the people were going to the island to try and find Jim he worried a little bit but he did what he had to do. He didn't worry or overwhelm himself to where he couldn't think he just went along what he had to do and got it done. Some people get too worried and over think too much and end up not being able to do what needed to be done.
Something I really love about this book is the imagery. Mark Twain uses a lot of imagery and it pulls me right into the book as if I was there watching these things happen. Books like this I really love. The way Twain puts things I can just picture everything that I am reading as if it was right in front of me. When books have imagery in them it makes it so much easier to read because you can picture what is happening in your mind.
