A question that sparked to me after reading was why does Huck feel bad about being part of helping Jim be free and on his own? Huck was going to just toss Jim out there so he couldn't be free anymore. To me it rang a bell that Huck realized slaves weren't free and even though he and Jim were so close he felt that Jim should be like the rest of them and not be free either. Huck is always one of those that does what he feels like is the right decision. I think that Huck is doing this because he feels that it is the right thing to do. This doesn't mean that Huck is all for slavery it is just his thoughts.
A big take away from these chapters is that you can do anything you set your mind to. Huck is very great at doing this. Whenever something pops into Huck's mind that he wants to do, he sets his mind to it and does it. Huck sets his mind to do all these things that he calls adventures and he accomplishes his dream. Doing this is what keeps Huck going. If Huck didn't set his mind to different things he would be a total different person and probably would be out on any adventures or exploring. If anyone in the world could think of anything to set their mind too with or without education the could do it if they pushed themselves.
One thing that I really liked in these chapters that gave me a chuckle was the conversation about the French between Jim and Huck. The conversation was very funny because of the things that were brought up between animals and humans. Jim is a character that has very limited education that is still a very smart man when it comes to different things. Unfortunately this wasn't a conversation that he could win over Huck because he had no clue about the French or different languages.
