When reading these chapters I was a little confused with Huck and Tom's relationship. They are very good friends and get along together great, but when trying to free Jim why were they acting so different and arguing with each other? I think that they weren't getting along to well because they kept arguing about how to free Jim and what would work and what wouldn't. I feel that Tom just wanted to do it his way and was fed up with Huck telling him his ideas. Tom was making things complicated when Huck was giving him some good ideas to help.
A big take away I got from this is how different people are. By that I mean how good of a sense of humor they have and can joke around with things. When they kept messing with Sally on her counting and the other things they were doing she was getting really angry and was blowing up. Some people could have found some humor in this if it was happening to them but Aunt Sally found no humor at all. I have joked around with people in my days and have found out there are some people that just get angry with you and some that can enjoy the humor with you and go along with it. I have figured out those I can and cannot mess and joke around with.
One thing I really liked about these chapters is the work effort of Tom and Huck to save Jim. They both have worked really hard to save him and risked a lot for him. Jim is very thankful that they are doing this for him. When they reached the inside of his cabin and woke him up I could just picture the look on his face and how happy he would have been. I like how dedicated they are and what they have gone through to get to Jim and try to save him. It is cool to see what true friends will go through to help you out as much as Tom and Huck have for Jim.
