After reading these chapters the book brings me in more and more. The more I read, the more I like the book and can't put it down. When finishing these chapters there was only one question that sparked in my head. Why doesn't Huck just stand up too his father and not give him money anymore? If its because his dad beats him if he doesn't get the money then he needs to talk to the judge and notify him of the situation. The judge can take care of his dad more quickly that way than they can when he is drunk because of the money Huck gave him that he uses for alcohol.
Huck's dad was a very crazy man who though only of himself and no one else. His dad didn't like the government or black people. Huck's dad saw a free black man that had been dressed like a rich white man and was very mad. After his dad saw this he started bashing the government on how they really aren't a government if they let this black man walk around like a white man and even let him vote. It is crazy how his father just gave up on voting just because of the government letting the black man be treated the same as the white men.
I really like the book but there is only one part I dislike. I don't like how Huck's dad acts and how he thinks that he is just the best out there and should be the center of attention. What confuses me is how no one has said anything to him yet or put him in his place. People like this are just annoying and need to be put in their place so they change and start acting like they should. But overall, I really like this book and will gladly continue to keep on reading it.
